Re: [Evolution] Any suggested workarounds for yet one more interface quirk?

Hi Brian,

I agree with Carlos. I like to have the choice of doing things with the
mouse or the keyboard. If my hand is on the keyboard, it's usually
faster to use it than to move to the mouse and back. Usually both my
hands are on the keyboard, and I prefer to use it for most things.
Besides, I can navigate a lot faster with a keyboard than is possible
with a mouse.

Whew! I no longer feel like like a lone voice crying in the
wilderness :).

Don't PageUp and PageDown work for you? They do for me.

No. They don't work for me. And I don't see how they could work for
you either Brian. I am using Evo 2.0.2.

If I cause the blue highlight bar (with Evo running under Gnome) to
highlight a message in the message pane and press PgUp, Evo take me to
the first message. It does not scroll up one page through the message I
am looking at.

If under the same highlight bar set up described above, I press PgDn,
Evo takes me to the last message. It does not scroll down one page
through the message I am looking at.

In other words the PgUp key is a "go the first message" not a "go to the
previous page in the message" type key. The PgDn is a "go to the last
message" not a "go to the next page in the message" key.

I'd be curious Brian whether your version of Evo does indeed operate the
same way under the scenario I have described. That would be odd if it
didn't.

Carlos
