l accounts may be checked in parallel, but when I click on the Send/Receive button, a window entitled
"Send & Receive Mail" opens with a list of all my POP and IMAP accounts. Each has a horizontal
"progress bar." The downloading of messages, as portrayed by the progress bars, appears to take place
sequentially, even though it may infact being taking place simultaneously. When the sequence arrives at
my main Comcast account, it indicates the number of messages waiting and appears to begin downloading
them. At that point, the window closes without downloading any messages.
If you run with CAMEL_DEBUG=all set in the environment you can see what
its doing when talking to the backend/and if it is registering any
failures.
OK, I ran this and got several screens full of results, none of which I understand. (I'm
"CLI-challenged"). I scoured it looking for words such as "error," "failure," etc. but did not find any.
Could try attaching it (compressed if it is big) - or perhaps upload it
to a web server and provide a link. If the bug system was up it would
probably make sense to attach it to a bug report to track it.
Even if you had keep on server it should still get new mail, so i can't
imagine why it would break if it is otherwise working. Filters?
*shrug*.
I think that the fault may be with my ISP, Comcast. A while back, I was
getting the same message repeated dozens of times. Now, all the messages
(100+) have disappeared from my InBox at the Comcast website.
Let me hassle with them a while and I'll report back. Thanks. Kelly
It appears that the problem was with Comcast, my ISP - at least, the
problems have stopped and things appear to be back to normal. They wiped
out a few dozen list messages in the process (my kjmlists@ address is
for list subs only) and started over.
But I find it bizarre that the problems that I encountered on my desktop
were not encountered on my laptop. The laptop setup is a clone of the
desktop in terms of settings, etc. The only difference is that the
desktop is Evo 2.0.1 and the laptop is Evo 2.2.1.1. If it was the ISP's
fault, shouldn't it have affected both the same way? Oh, well ....
Thanks for your help. Kelly
