Please don't hijack unrelated threads. When opening a new thread you can

Having set the correct timezone in Evo 2.0.3, the date still displays as
mm/dd/yy instead of the Australian way of dd/mm/yy.
Have I missed a setting somewhere ?
Yup, your locale. :-)
You are talking about the date format used in the mail list for example,
right? This format uses your locale setting, particular the LC_TIME
value.
$ echo LC_TIME
Adjust your locales to match your country (likely en_AU rather than en
or en_US). This should be done for the entire Desktop using the option
offered by your login manager.
