Oh well, maybe...

Garnome [1] does a pretty good job in easily building an entire, stable
Gnome Desktop, including the latest and greatest Evolution version. :-)

You wouldn't be the first going that way to get all the great new
features and bugfixes... :)  </ad style="subversively">
