Re: [Evolution] Exchange connector

I believe its using the same RPC over HTTP method that OWA uses to talk
to the exchange server, and that it's not "screen scraping" OWA. So I
think technically it doesn't support MAPI but it does connect using the
same method Microsoft recommends users to connect remotely to Exchange
(RPC over HTTP+SSL) and speaks with exchange in its native language. I
think this is why it depends on libsoup (SOAP).

Anyway, I'd try to go further to answer your question, but I'm not sure
what you're getting at. What exactly do you want to do that you're not
sure it does? If it's speed you're concerned about, I wouldn't worry.
It's faster than the web interface in my experience.

Last I heard, it was screen-scraping the Outlook web interface.

Does the new Exchange connector actually include MAPI support or is it
essentially just using a work-around to support calendaring, etc. with
Exchange?
