Hi, under my suse 9.1 in the kde configuration center - KDE Component - Component Selction - Mail Client I may select another mail client than KMail. Then as I work with evolution 1.4 I give as default client 'evolution-1.4'. When I am on a web page where I may click on an e-mail address it just open evolution without openning a new mail window to fill in. When I set use KMail as default and if I click on an e-mail address from a web page it open Kmail but it directly open a new message window. Then what is the correct command line I must give to do this. Have a look to my screenshot here in attachment. Have a nice day, Miguel ;-))
