Re: [Evolution] Jump to unread/new messages

I had actually implemented this feature during the 1.1 development phase
I think and it was found to not be ideal for GUI mail clients and thusly
removed. It was more annoying than anything else.

There's unfortunately no way to jump across folders, but there are
alternatives to Ctrl-]. I usually use the period ("."), which is easy
to find on my US keyboard (and comma to go to the previous unread msg).
I guess Ctrl-. and Ctrl-, are also supposed to work.

Thanks for your help. Is there any possibility (is it a development
issue?) to implement this "across-folders" feature with some handier
shortcut in the next versions of Evolution?

It's been requested many times. I think this is the oldest and best
place to add your comments (or add yourself to the CC: field so you will
get notified of any activity):

Meanwhile, I doubt this feature is going to make it into 2.0 though I
suppose it will eventually, especially if someone contributes the code.
