This just sounds like a namespace thing.  Evolution has never supported multiple namespaces - its entirely 'our fault'.  Some servers can advertise their namespaces instead as just separate top-level folders rather than the namespace mechamism (effectively, even namespaces means the same thing).  Maybe the defaults changed.

The bug probably still stands.  But if you're happy then good-o.
