If you're using an RPM based Linux distribution, try removing
evolution-data-server-devel and then rebuilding the appropriate versions
of gal, gtkhtml, libsoup and evolution.
If you've built from source, a make uninstall in the
evolution-data-server source directory might do the trick (and then
rebuild as above...)
Self compiled stuff, no distro :)
A traceback through the data-servers will do, hopefully.
But knowing that libebook.so is the problem, might do, too.

Probably a CAVEAT would do, that evolution 1.4 and 1.5
won't coexist gracefully in respect of compiling subsequent
packages.
Or that transition to 1.5 is one way, after all.
