I have the very same OS/Evo versions, but only a 800MHz Duron (kind of slow). My messages go out pretty fast. But I know evo checks the addresses and if the local address is incorrect, it will not send it. ---> This makes me believe that your smtp server may be slow? Is it any faster when using Mozilla mail?
