The editor control is a public interface, feel free to write a hook for
your editor of choice.  Barring that specific problem reports with the
editor are always welcome.


For anyone interested in this, it seems Jason Hildebrand has beaten
me to the bunch. He has a patch to allow you to use vim as the editor:

I haven't tried this yet (it's just been announced and it
involves recompiling Evo) but I'm glad someone did the work :-)
