Re: [Evolution] Outlook2000/PGP8.0 and Evolution1.4.5/GPG1.2.4

Again, you're missing my point. I am e-mailing from a web-based e-mail
address (MAILVAULT.COM) --- NOT from an Outlook or Evolution client.
This is because I don't want to later get tons of spam as usually
happens when you post your e-mail address in mailing lists.

The key associated with this e-mail is used by MAILVAULT.COM (think of
it as HUSHMAIL.COM). This is not my key that I use with Outlook or
Evolution.

My original question deals with OUTLOOK and EVOLUTION compatibility when
it comes to PGP and GPG encryption and signatures.

I simply was (and am still) looking for information regarding how
Evolution users deal with Outlook/PGP encryption and signatures and vice
versa.

Will Evolution 1.6 handle this better?

Any idea whether pgp.com has any interest in making their PGP product
interoperate with other e-mail clients/PGP clones?

Thanks list,

JOB

Thanks for the key.
I may have time to check tonight how a key looks in Outlook that was
sent using evo.

That's because this is an anonymous web-based e-mail tool

I use Outlook and Evolution for work and home.

Your e-mail actually has no signature at all?

Please fogive me if this issue has been discussed to death
but...

I use Evolution-1.4.5 (and love it) with GPG-1.2.4 but also use
Outlook
2000 with PGP 8.0.

I wish to be able to check signatures and decrypt messages on
both
ends
from the other e-mail client.

Currently, my Evolution GPG signature shows up as an attachment
in
Outlook and I don't know how to verify the signature with PGP
8.0.

Also, how can I check my PGP signature when received in
Evolution?
I
also use KGPG but when I cut and paste the PGP signature into
the
KGPG
clipboard and verify it, I'm told that the signature or test is
corrupt.

I was able to successfully decrypt my OUTLOOK/PGP8.0 encryption
using
the KGPG clipboard decrypt function but it seems more work than
it's
worth. (I have not tried decrypting an Evolution/GPG1.2.4
message
using
Outlook/PGP8.0 yet.)

So, am I naiive? I thought that PGP was Universal (i.e. OpenPGP
compliance).

Does Evolution have plans to make decryption and signature
verification
from Outlook/PGP easier?

Thanks,

Job
