Start up gconf-editor.  Expand into apps->evolution->mail and look for
the key signatures.  Double click on it and it will open a dialog that
will allow you to remove signature entries.

Although using any of the many "autogenerated" signatures looks the
same, the XML entries all have a different UID entry.  So, the changing
UID must be session related and that is causing the new entries.

Thanks ... directions clear enough that even /I/ could follow them :-) ,
which is a good thing, considering I'll likely have to do it off and on
for awhile as the sigs do their "like bunnies" thing.  (and not a little
unlike using RedEdit over in Winderz <shudder>)
