Not to sound dense (well, okay, maybe ;), but could you be more specific
about what needs to be edited for those of us (okay, me) who aren't as
used to hacking this kind of thing?
Also, I'm running 1.5.7 and the number of autogenerated signatures in my
drop-down //continues// to grow, from 14 a couple of hours ago to 20 at
last count. Eh?
might be related to the already-existing autogen signatures? anyways it is no longer growing for me...
as far as gconf-editor:
- run the program called "gconf-editor"
- navigate to /apps/evolution/mail in the left-hand side
- on the right-hand side, select the "signatures" entry
- right-click and select "Edit key..."
- select an "autogenerated" signature
- click "Remove"
- lather, rinse, repeat
