That's your problem. You need ORBit2 2.6.x. It shouldn't even be
possible to install Evo 1.4 and ORBit2 2.8.x...
It should be possible : if Evo was compiled against GNOME 2.2 platform,
it should be able to run on 2.4 platform, since binary backward
compatibility is present..
Hm... the answer may be "you need to update your bonobo-activation"
then. The problem is that bonobo-activation is calling
linc_get_tmpdir(), but ORBit2 2.8.0 never calls linc_set_tmpdir()
because it doesn't link against linc any more.
