Funny, I use a 800MHZ (746.779 according to /proc/cpuinfo) and
everything is quite fast here.
I've also used gtk2 on my IPAQ which is _alot_ slower and it's also
quite fast
Yes, my machine at home is a 400MHz Celery[1] and is running GNOME 2.4
betas at a very reasonable speed.
Me thinks this is Linux FUD from BSDers. :-)
[1] Admittedly it has quite a bit of RAM.
