Re: [Evolution] annoying Error messages

im new to this list and i hope you guys may help me :)
(Is there a german List for ximian evolution?)

Welcome. We do our very best... ;)

There is no German List. But there are some German folks subscribed
(including me). If you have major problems translating, I can offer my
help...

my Problem:
i have about 3 email adresses, and evolution checks them every 10
minutes.
If it cannot get email because of any reason (host not found, pop-logon
didnt work, etc.) it places an error messega in front of my eyes.

this is annoying, because i get an error message every 30 minutes
because of some (i may say randomized :P ) errors.

How do i disable theese, i just want evolution to ignore any errors
while getting email and dont bother me.

Well, fix the broken POP3 servers... ;)

Actually, there is no way to turn this messages off AFAIK. Silently
ignoring errors would be worse.

As you are getting those errors really often, it seems the POP3 servers
are not really healthy or your network connection freaks out.

Where is that POP3 server located (from a network view)?

If you have a flatrate, using fetchmail as a workaround to the buggy
servers / connection may work for you. HTH
