I moved all of these to another directory for safekeeping and ran the
synchronization again, and still had exactly the same problem.
gpilotd.log shows that it goes through two entries (which do make it
into evolotion) and then sits there for a while and then just craps out.
There are some peculiar things that seem to be happening before the
synch process begins, but it does start synching records -- it just
stops after the second record. It seems as if it's just timing out
waiting for data.
