Hi,
When I was synchronising Evolution 1.08 whith my Palm (palm os 4.0),I
had to cancel the synchronisation during the calendar sync because it
was very long (more than 10 minutes and just 3 new appointments). After
that, I'd a message telling me that evolution isnt' able to read the
calendar.ics file and I've no information on the calendar view. This
file now has 0 bytes ...
At the same time I lost information on the Palm (more or less 50 %
records losts).
Well if it was your first sync or a "slow" sync (meaning it has to match
all the records) it does take a while. You can check to see if the back
up file in ~/evolution/local/Calendar/calendar.ics has any info.
Any idea to correct the problem ?
I can enter all the data again but how to do with calendar.ics ?
Unfortunately I don't have much of an idea here. Deleting everything in
the calendar does not really sound like a palm sync caused problem since
the conduits do not touch the calendar.ics file directly. Is there any
more information you can provide (gnome-pilot version, type of sync,
other conduits running, was this the first sync, etc). The only thing I
can imagine is that you selected "Copy to Desktop" which would delete
all the desktop records, but that wouldn't delete anything on the palm
side.
