[Evolution] evolution forgets my pop3-password

hi again,

i'm having a rather uncommon little problem which might be a bug:

i use evolution 1.2.4 on suse 8.1 and i've got an "freemail"-email
account (yes, these ones you do not have to pay for as a private person
without any corporation email address).
a few months ago my email provider had the idea to install a timelimit
so that you can just check/receive your emails every 15 minutes - if you
want to check more frequently you have to pay...

i told evolution in the preferences of this account, that it only should
check mails every 16 minutes, that's not the problem that i write about.

now if i check my mails using pop3 for more than one time in this 15min
period (e.g. if i press the "send / receive"-button), i get an
error-message:

"Unable to connect to POP Server <pop3-name>.
Error sending password: -ERR Zeitabstand zwischen zwei Logins
unterschritten) FreeMail: 15 min, Club: 1 min)/minpoll timelimit
Please enter the POP password for <account name>"

[translation of german part: -ERR too little time between two logins -
FreeMail (= email account for free) 15 min, Club (= pay version) 1 min]

The box "Remember this password" is checked, but everytime i have tried
to check mails twice within these 15 minutes i have to re-enter my
password - also if i press "cancel" and try to receive mails a few hours
later, then i have to re-enter it!
it does not depend on whether i use "always ssl" or not in the account
preferences, in both cases this appears.

so is this a bug or could it be something like kind of a non-standard
reply or behaviour by my provider's pop3-server which leads evolution to
forget my password?

or is there anyone else on this list who has got an email-account at
https://freemail.web.de and can add some information on this / has the
same problem?

thanks in advance,
andre

...and please do not send advice like "what about changing the
provider"... it's not my main email address and it does not really makes
me upset - but i thought if it is a bug, why not take it into public and
perhaps repair it?
