I just upgraded from evolution 1.2 to evolution 1.4 (the only one

Now I can't choose what editing keys to use in composer.

Earlier I could choose "Emacs or Xemacs" in "Composer prefereneces".

This is a GtkHtml problem. I've modified
/usr/share/gtkhtml-3.0/GNOME_GtkHTML_Editor.xml on my RedHat 9 to make
it work. The file is attached. The problem is that GtkHtml will not pass
the keypress to the editor if it is defined in the menus, which is the
case for most emacs key bindings (C-a, etc).

Anyway, this should do it.

I can't get this work. I replaced
/usr/share/gtkhtml-3.0/GNOME_GtkHTML_Editor.xml
with the one you provided, but e.g Ctrl*A still selects all
instead of going to the beginning of line, despite it's not
in the menu.

On this system I'm currently running KDE, (I've had problemes
after wake up from suspend with Gnome (restarting X), so I'm
trying to see if this is a Gnome problem or an X problem).
Could this affect it?

(I have to start the gnome-control-center to be able to set
inbox fonts etc, and in gnome-keybinding-properties
I have of course set "Emacs" for editing shortcuts)

So, which program do I need to edit/recompile etc to get this
working?

        Best regards
