[Evolution] Evolution starts- folders present but no mails

Hi, 
I have been running evolution on Mandrake and all was working well. I
recently relocated offices so I tried to connect into my old macine over a
ssh connection. This worked fine and I was able to bring up evolution across
this connection. However while all the folders are visible and correct, they
are empty and contain no emails! Any ideas what might be happening here?
