Yes, using Edit->Cut.  However, this did used to work for copying only
the selected text to the clipboard.  Middle clicking does work,
however.  I guess I just find this to be counter-intuitive and
non-standard behavior.  Does anyone know if this behavior will be
different in 1.4?
