Hi guys,
Yes, of course I tried this, but it only imports mail from Pine and
another clients with only one archive (mbox). :-)
Another idea?
Thanks and best regards,

Did you try File->Import?

I tried in Settings, Edit Acount, Receiving Mail, Type of server, as was

Anyone can help me?

You are correct it is 71.
I stil have 2 problems with this though:
1. what if I need to get something out that has more characters
on a line than 72, I do think this lenght should be a preference.
Well, if you want text/plain and longer lines, select "Preformat" as
paragraph style.
I prefer plain text as much as possible, but this is an option yes
HTML mail will expand to the limits of the window -- but maybe depends
on the MUA. ;)
2. as soon as I start using my own fonts, it is not 72 anymore but
more like 39 which is totally unacceptable.
I'm not entirely sure on this. But "using your own font" feels like it
will only make sense for HTML mail. ;)
If you use a custom font, just for viewing pleasure while typing, the
font will be wrapped on the window edges. Sending the mail *will* set
the line length to 72.
hmm I set a custom font for my reading pleasure while reading, I like
the message in the preview pane to have a somewhat larger font,
This also seems to affect the font used in the composer...
As you probably have seen by your first mail, which apparently had
*more* than your mentioned 36 chars:
NoI had not noticed that, just tested that and you are correct :-)

You even can see, that you used a non-monospaced font, which is not the
best option when typing text/plain mails.
Correct, I have just setup Evolution as my reader, and am playing with
the settings untill I am satisfied with them, I need to change the font
to something better

Hi,
I worked around it by copying another pixmap file in the same directory
to that file name. I guess a link might work also. No visible
difference resulted, except that I didn't get loads of that message in
the transcript.

Subject: [Evolution] Virus filtering
Hi,
Everyday I receive a lot of email, and especially a good share of spam
and virus-infected mail (> 150 daily). I'm already using Spamassassin
through a filter (criterion "Pipe message to shell command
/usr/bin/spamassassin -c"), etc. It works extremely well.
I'd like to do same for my infected mail. I set up a filter with
Clamscan <http://clamav.elektrapro.com/>, an open source antivirus,
using the following criterion :
Pipe message to shell command "clamscan -" Returns greater than "0"
The "-" option indicates a data stream. It works, but the signature
database is quite small and it does not catch a lot of my infected
mail...
I've discovered Antivir <http://www.hbedv.com/>. It's a commercial
product but it's free for personal use. But I'm unable to make it work
with Evolution... Simply putting <Pipe message to shell command "antivir
" Returns greater than "0"> does not catch anything... I haven't found
a "data streaming" option for Antivir. I suppose I need to make a "pipe"
or a "redirection" or something, but it's beyond my actual knowledge of
Linux...
Does anyone use Antivir for filtering in Evolution? How do you set it
up? Or what would you suggest?
I suppose I could do it with a combination of procmail, fetchmail, etc.
But it means new applications to install and configure... I'd prefer a
solution for the "average user" ;-)
Thanks!
PS. I know I don't have much to fear from the infected mail I receive. I
could continue to simply annihilate them manually, but I'd prefer that
my machine does it for me...

From the documentation, there doesn't seem to be any way to make it
check a single file of your choice. It seems to be designed only to scan
the entire disk for viruses.

Well, AntiVir has the ability, to scan all "through"coming messages on a
SMTP. I don't know, if checking single mails piped to the binary is
possible.
Philippe, please read the AntiVir documentation, if this is possible.

I believe the problem is that you are missing some gnome package or
another.
A similar problem was reported early in the betas and it was discovered
that the GnomeIconList widget was being told to display the default
icon, but it was somehow not finding it (because it wasn't there for
some reason) and so it failed to display the icon (and, unfortunately,
also the text).
I guess make sure you have gnome-unknown.png on your system? (I think
it's called gnome-unknown.png at least).
If you are running debian, I believe that the problem is that they did
not put some icon package or another in the correct place in the
dependency tree or some such. (I could be wrong, but I believe that is
what I've heard).

This was it... I had everything installed locally, but no
gnome-unknown.png in ~/share/pixmaps. I copied the one from
/usr/share/pixmaps there and now it works!
