[Evolution] Evolution 1.4.3 install freezes

Hi Ximian Gurus:

I have tried repeatedly to install Evolution 1.4 on Redhat 9 from
various Ximian mirror sites using the installer script.  It always gets to the "Transaction starting" step 
then freezes. 

I am logged in as root when I start the installation. It doesn't seem to 
matter what components are selected to be installed.I seem to have plenty 
of disk space.  Any idea what's going on ?
