[Evolution] lagging and copy

Hi,

I just updated to the newest version of Evolution.  When I've just logged in and open evolution it does so quickly.  However, if I close the program and then open it later in the same session, it takes about 3 minutes to load.  Any ideas on what's wrong?

Also, is there any way to copy text from a message I've received?  When I highlight text, ^C doesn't work and there's nothing under the Edit tab.
