[Evolution] Threaded order unconsidered during deletion

Hello,
I use threaded order view to read through the mails of a mailing list.
However,when I delete a mail,evolution does not jump to the next
mail, but to some other mail, probably the mail which comes next with
regard to its date.
In an older version,the symbolic menu bar at the top even had
"prev/next" buttons which lead to "obscure jumping" too, but instead of
solving the problem in the current version (1.2.1), these buttons were
simply removed.
Is there a way to solve this or is it a bug?
