reproducing();
OK, even louder: That problem comes up regularly the last days! Is there
any solution found yet? Bug filed?
Well, I've tried to reproduce it, but I haven't had any luck. This may
be because I'm using a fairly standard POP server over a rather fast
connection (server and client are on the same hub). I took a quick look
for relevant bug reports but found nothing that looked especially close.
OK, had a spare POP3 account and remembered the password (gmx.net)...
I could verify that: Received new mails, deleted them, received again --
and got the same messages a second time.
Tested it some more times and I could reproduce it *sometimes* during a
couple of tests.
During the test, I have checked the POP3 account via the web frontend.
It seems like the mails were *not* marked as read (downloaded) instantly
on the POP3 server, thus I got them a second time.
Marking downloaded messages as read seems to take some seconds (verified
that with web frontend). So it seems to be a POP3 *server* flaw to me...
I never could reproduce getting the same messages over and over again.
Does that make sense?
