Re: [Evolution] Mozilla mail into Evolution

cheers();

So far I haven't been able to get my mozilla mail to be read from
evolution what I did was go to my ~/.mozilla/username/weirdNameDir/Mail
and moved it to my ~/evolution/local/ directory I then did killev and
started Evolution up hoping to see my mail and directories here. that
didn't work I know this has to be easy but what am I missing?

I saw questions about importing Mozilla at time. Out of curiosity I
fiddled around -- and now know a bit more about Evo and it's local mail
folders. I only use IMAP...

Every new folder in your 'Local Folders' is stored in a new directory
~/evolution/local/new-folder containing some files:

The file 'mbox' is the plain mbox file with your mails,
'folder-metadata.xml' and 'local-metadata.xml' are needed to identify
that folder as mail directory. The initial mbox.ibex.index[.data] files
can (and should) be deleted.

You can then copy the mbox File from your mozilla mailbox to those
directories, named as 'mbox'.

The .xml files seem to be all the same, so just copy them.

Should be easy to write a shell script, that does that for you, if you
have too many folders, to do that manually.

Hope, that gets you going...
