This mail apparently was planned to go to the list, rather then to me.

I installed Evo 1.4.4 via the Red-Carpet installer and I think
maybe I made a huge mistake... It seems that Evo receives and
manipulates mail ok, but sending mail is just not working.. I'm also
running Connector 1.4.4 since I connect to an exchange 2000 system.
Same thing happened to me. Installed evolution 1.4.4, new libsoup, and
now I cannot sendmail thru anything but sendmail. I use SMTP on several
systems (one runs communigatePro and uses login authentication, one is
straight smtp, no auth) and I can't send mail thru either.
I've tried setting the "Sending Mail" settings to smtp as well,
but I'm still not having any luck... libsoup-ssl-proxy winds up
chugging away at 99% processor and mail never gets sent...
Is anyone else having problems? Is this a known problem? Is
there any way for me to revert back to 1.4.3 via red-carpet?
I removed evolution and libsoup and reverted back to earlier versions,
but nothing seems to work now.
I cannot verify this, works for me: SMTP SSL, Auth=DIGEST-MD5
If you cannot get this issue solved, you can of course revert using rpm
manually. If installed via Red Carpet, the packages are cached in
/var/cache/redcarpet/packages/
I don't know if Red Carpet supports downgrading, but it may be possible.
