btw: What do you mean by during, before, after?

      Delivery.

If a script kicks off DURING the delivery (During my sending or
receiving), or one I'd have to run BEFORE I get/send mail, or AFTER I get/
send mail.

Hey, a good script for that stuff does not need any interaction at all
-- so you won't worry, when it is done... ;-)

btw: It will always be "after", cause only _sent_ mail goes to the sent
folder, and therefore the delivery is done (on your side only, of
course).

And the most important question: Where (local/IMAP) are your sent mails
and in which format (mbox/maildir/...) ?

Right now, local+mbox. I'd really want to keep mbox format. I have
some folders now with 8K, 9K, 11K messages...... Searching with view/grep/etc
are helpful.

That should be possible with scripts.

But Eric just mentioned, what I have forgotten in my previous mail: Have
you considered searching in the sent folder? Evo displays only the
search results, what exactly is, what you wanna have in 3000 different
folders...
