You will require most of the gnome libraries for this anyhow
(bonobo-activation, libbonobo, libbonoboui, libgnome, libgnomeui, gconf,
glib, gtk+, etc).  What you won't need are any of the end user apps like
nautilus, gnome-desktop, gnome-applets, etc.
