it's not currently on the immediate todo list at the very least, though

pilot to the Drafts box (so as to allow final editing).  How hard would
something like that be to write?

probably a royal pita since the mailer wasn't designed to be able to do
this from the start. note that the wombat is the only component of
evolution that actually does any syncing currently, and it is what
handles the calendar and addressbook data (which is why syncing is so
"easy" for those components).

The sendmail conduit will send any mail you've written on the palm
through sendmail and out to its recipient.  It does not sync the INBOX. 
That does not exist AFAIK.

This is correct, we dont support mailbox syncing.
