[Evolution] proxy authentication

As a further addendum to my previous email - I used both gconftool 1 and 2 to update my network settings in the hope of getting everything working. The password is definitely correct. Using the gnome-network-preferences, I double checked and then I double checked again using the gconf-editor. Any assistance would be great.
