[Evolution] proxy authentication

When I try opening a message with html content - pictures and the like, evolution indicates it requires proxy authentication - and that it failed. I've just upgraded and it from 1.0.8 and it was all good previously. I am unsure as to what to change next, both gconftool and gnome-network-preferences are fine, the passwords are all right. Any suggestions learned friends?
