Except bugzilla is full of so much noise ... it will certainly be
remembered better than the mail lists anyway.
What happens if you cross-send it to different people with preferences?
Send 2 mails ?
And, should this be associated with the contact, or with the account,
etc etc.
Per-contact I think.
Something like this is needed (even if not a top priority). Currently
Evo always get my From: mail address wrong, except if I reply to a mail
sent directly to me. I've become accustomed to selecting the "From:"
widget and choosing a different account to send mails, but I'd like to
automate this step a bit.

This might be the easiest thing....
Have a preferred_from field in contacts. Have that as a drop down like
the From in the new message pane.
Then for each list, you need to assign a contact (which most of us do
anyway), and then have a preferred_from assign in the contact.
This would be useful when I have different contacts that I want to
appear from different emails. Sometimes when I can working with a
client, I want to appear from with in the client's domain to people in
that domain.
Apologies if this has been mentioned before.
Wanna be sure developpers will remember it ? Wanna know if someone
hasn't already had this idea ? THE solution is:
bugzilla !!
Yeah.
