After adding /usr/lib/mozilla-1.0.0 to your ld.so.conf, did you run
ldconfig ??
I did.. I did it again just now.. does it need to be provided every
time I boot the system or does it adjust things so that this is loaded
every time when the system comes up?
That is required to update everything.
I updated mine with Ximian as per usual, added that line, ran ldconfig,
and it all worked fine. I didn't need any environment variables or
anything.
Ok.. Sounds hopeful.. I didn't think that the environment variables
would be harmful, so I kept them in..
Ps. For reference I'm using Redhat 7.3
I'm using RH 7.2.. Have thought about upgrading..
