[Evolution] regular maintenance?

What are the operations i should perform on a regular basis to keep my
Evolution folders in good shape?
I noticed a speed increase after i deleted the evolution-filter-log,
which was > 30 MB. But Evo is still much slower than long time ago.
I have ~ 120 folders, with tens of thousands of messages. Cleaning up
the messages is out of question.
