Niggle: sendmail/qmail is the MTA, and invokes bin/mail or procmail as
the MDA.

What distribution? If Red Hat, just install the sendmail RPM. The
default configuration will work fine in this case, as you're not
receiving mail from off-machine with sendmail. You're getting it locally
from fetchmail (which goes out and gets it for local delivery).

If you want to use this server for relaying (ie. accepting mail from
other machines for delivery), things get more complicated, as you have
to be careful to prevent spammers from usurping the machine.
