[Evolution] imap over ssh (not tunnel)

How about a possibility to open IMAP connection by executing:

ssh user host imap 2>~/imap.log

With a nice GUI dialog asking the password.

I think this is the most secure way to talk to imap server as it doesn't
require any other authentication than the ssh which I use to login to that
computer all the time anyway. And as an extra it doesn't even require any
imap daemon running when you're not using it.

So, any chance that anyone would be interested of coding that? :) I'd rather
keep updating evolution with apt-get than compiling it with my own
kludges. :)
