You might also try ftp://red-carpet.ximian.com instead of ftp.ximian.com
They point to the same IP!
I found a mirror on mirror.aarnet.edu.au
There should however be a list of mirrors.
And the port should definately not be firewalled. Anonymous login
restricted, yes, but firewall? no.
