Sorry, I missed some important stuff from my last
post. Always happens after you hit "send"!
It takes a long time to sync calendar. I
watch the directory from an xterm to see the file sizes growing to see what it's
doing. It looks like this:
total 520
-rw-rw-r-- 1 carrie carrie 436762 Dec 14 17:01 calendar.ics -rw-rw-r-- 1 carrie carrie 0 Dec 14 17:01 calendar.ics~ -rw-rw-r-- 1 carrie carrie 57 Dec 14 16:36 pilot-map-calendar-3099.xml -rw-rw-r-- 1 carrie carrie 81920 Dec 14 16:36 pilot-sync-evolution-calendar-3099.db -rw-r--r-- 1 carrie carrie 109 Dec 14 16:32 folder-metadata.xml As I watch it, the .db file seems to finish copying
quickly, and then the .ics file does the strangest things. It counts up,
and down and then up again in size. Once I cancelled the copy since I
didn't know how long it would take.
What is the .ics file, and why does it both grow
and shrink in size doing a copy from pilot?
