Seems to me that the "right" thing to do is build an interface that
allows the user to specify how to map fields from Evo<->Pilot.
'Course this would certainly be a post-1.0 sort of feature.

Hello,
in contacts I can insert the birthday of a person.
Can anybody tell me if this field is synchronized with the pilot ?
I cant find this field anywhere in my pilot so it thems that this
information is lost.
Are there any other fields in the contacts that where not synchronized
with the pilot an is there a chance to do this ?
This is part of a more general problem I'm having, the fact that the
addressbook and pilot fields do not always match. Witness the custom
fields on the pilot and things like birthday on the palm. I'm thinking
about exactly what to do here.
So, I checked around, basically windows apps don't sync this
information, they just skip over and don't overwrite it when syncing
(exception being the palm desktop software which has exactly the right
fields). We were already doing this for desktop fields but we were
overwriting the category and custom fields (addressbook) on the pilot.
I fixed this. The only way that info like the birthday will go missing
completely is if you delete it on the desktop and some action on the
pilot causes it to be put back, but then you have to ask yourself - how
important is deleted info? :-)
