I've been meaning to mention something about this. Well, actually I'd like to see the problem solved earlier in the process... so here's my (related) question: WHY does the addressbook module, in the "Select Contacts from Addressbook" dialog, list Contacts which have no email address? This makes no sense!!! and seems like it would be a relatively easy thing to filter out (no, I haven't looked at the code). Believe it or not, there are many contacts in my addressbook without email addresses, and as it is there are too many altogether. I'd like to be presented with the minimum number of valid choices from this dialog. --Eric P.S. Selecting each contact from the list takes a VERY long time these days on my PII-350; much longer than it did a few weeks ago). Takes at least 4-5 seconds per contact when I double-click or select and then click "To:" etc. On Tue, 2001-11-13 at 12:08, David Waters wrote:
Hello, I just noticed that Evolution let me "send" a mail to a contact for whom I had entered no email address. I got no complaint because I had cc'd the mail to other contacts with email addresses. I only noticed when I looked in Sent mail and found some mails with no "To" field. Maybe a warning whenever you try to send mail to a contact with no email address ? Dave.
