[Evolution] IMAP Inbox?

(So, before I start filing bugs that shouldn't be filed, I want someone
to say that I'm having real problems that aren't due to a history of
runing betas, my ancient IMAP server, or to the fact that I'm pulling
down the Debian unstable version rather than the Ximian packages... A
'Me Too' here would be helpful, as I didn't find these in the bug
database.)

Okay, I give: How do I access my IMAP inbox? Somewhere around version
.12, the next beta upgrade had the IMAP folders rewrite, which caused a
couple of visible changes:

  old:

     ray madrabbit org
     +--Inbox (141)
        |--Evolution
        |--friends
        |--Sent
  etc.

  new:
     ray madrabbit org
     |--Evolution
     +--Inbox (141)
     | |--Sent
     |--Sent
     |--friends

  etc.

Upon the upgrade, Evolution created a new Sent folder, and put it under
an Inbox folder just like my prefs for the previous version had
requested. Also, the Inbox folder it created on my IMAP server doesn't
actually exist -- it's just participating in the hierarchy for the new
Sent folder (.Inbox.Sent on the server, without an actual .Inbox
anywhere). Point being, AFAICS, there's nowhere for me to click that
supposed to get me my 'real' Inbox folder on the IMAP server, even
thouggh the fake one reports unread messages. The 'ray madrabbit org'
entry seems like the right place to show the Inbox, but when I click on
it Evolution unhappily claims that this folder cannot contain messages.

Second, rather annoyingly, someone changed the sorting order to be the
ASCII collating sequence. May I please respectfully request that this
get changed back to a case insensitive collation, like human languages
normally use? Case insensitive isn't perfect, as it ignores language
sensitive rules for collation (even English has exceptions), but it
would be a step in the right direction.

For the record: Evolution beta 6 (version 0.16), Debian Unstable. IMAP
server is courier-imap version 0.31-1 from Debian Stable. I've tried
blowing away the ~/evolution directory after the upgrade, as well as
removing and adding the server back into my accounts list, but neither
made any difference.

Halp?

Ray

P.s. To put all this in context: I've been using MS Outlook for about
five years now. In one year, with considerably less resources, you guys
have made a client that can easily give it a run for its money. It's
gotten more stable by leaps and bounds, and it's a joy to use. I look
forward to turning my computer on just so that I can read email in
Evolution. You guys done good. Thank you.
