[Evolution] pane redraw speed

Evolution redraws really slowly, as compared to almost any other app I
use. Like when I change viewports, or restore Evo from being minimized,
the main window draws, but then it takes like half a second to fill in
all the panes.

Is this a bonobo thing? Is it Sawfish somehow? Is it a known issue?
