Re: [Evolution] Invisible message

Firstly, what version of evolution are you using? There is a problem in
older versions that would probably cause this.

e.g.

Content-Type: multipart/alternative;
boundary="----00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 0"

Something has word-wrapped the boundary string and put a space inside
it, and evolution had this problem at one point (and of course, may
still).

So everyone else got it wrong :)

the problem ?

    Thanks for an incredible mailer,

X marks the spot
March 22, 2001
Vol. 7, No. 12

**** Ready for the 2001 tax season? CNET reviews your options!
See the ad in this issue for details. ****

Extra, extra, read all about it. The tech world has gone "X"
crazy. What am I talking about? The sudden ubiquity of the 24th
letter of the alphabet. The current X craze arguably dates back
to Douglas Coupland's 1992 novel "Generation X," which was
followed shortly thereafter by the otherworldly "X-Files." Then
"extreme" entered the popular lexicon as a description for
unconventional sports, spawning the X Games, the XFL, and even
the Xbox, a hotly anticipated gaming console.
Now, though, X is staking its claim on mainstream software. Last
week, Microsoft released final code of the latest version of
Office, dubbed Office XP. Then Apple followed up with Mac OS X
(generally pronounced "OS 10," but an X is an X, after all). And
of course Microsoft has already announced that Windows XP
(successor to Windows 2000), is due by year's end.
The proliferation of all these Xs can be extremely confusing. So
keep your browser pointed this way for our exclusive, extensive X
coverage.

10. Top 10 future e-books, part 2

You may recall that in our previous top 10 list, we hypothesized
about the kinds of electronic books that might be a hit with the
tech crowd--things such as "Lord of the Files" and "Gone with the
Windows." Well, we had so much fun last week (and so many book
titles we didn't get to use) that we're back for round two.
Herewith, our second top 10 list of e-books we'd like to see:

 1. Stranger in a Strange LAN: An earthling is raised by
extraterrestrials, creating a perfectly typical network
    administrator.
 2. Phantom of Opera: Compatibility with an outcast browser
    haunts Web developers.
 3. Flowers.com for Algernon: Thanks to a radical operation, a
plain, off-white mouse upgrades to an Intellimouse. But will
    it last?
 4. Goodbye, Mr. Chip Manufacturer: The Semiconductor Industry
    Association ( http://one.digital.cnet.com/cgi-bin1/flo?y=eBp20BkQI0X20fl6V )
goes literary with its annual report.
 5. Fall of the House of Users: Edgar Allan Poe's macabre tale of
    the decline of Usenet.
 6. A ROM with a View: Lucy Honeychurch must choose between her
tried-and-true compact disc drive or the flashy new DVD-ROM
she encountered in Radio Shack. Brief nudity.
 7. The Profit, by Kahlil Gibran: The legend of an ancient way of
    financing companies.
 8. Of Mice and Menus: George and Lennie finally master Windows.
 9. The Old Man and the C++ Programmer: An aged CEO goes 60 days
without landing a programmer. When he uses stock options as
bait, the programmer bites, then destroys infrastructure when
    the stock tanks.
10. The Great Gatesby: 'Nuff said.

10. Top 10 future e-books, part 2</P>

<P>You may recall that in our previous top 10 list, we hypothesized
about the kinds of electronic books that might be a hit with the
tech crowd--things such as "Lord of the Files" and "Gone with the
Windows." Well, we had so much fun last week (and so many book
titles we didn't get to use) that we're back for round two.
Herewith, our second top 10 list of e-books we'd like to see:</P>

<blockquote>
 1. Stranger in a Strange LAN: An earthling is raised by
extraterrestrials, creating a perfectly typical network
    administrator.<br>
 2. Phantom of Opera: Compatibility with an outcast browser
    haunts Web developers.<br>
 3. Flowers.com for Algernon: Thanks to a radical operation, a
plain, off-white mouse upgrades to an Intellimouse. But will
    it last?<br>
 4. Goodbye, Mr. Chip Manufacturer: The <a
href="http://one.digital.cnet.com/cgi-bin1/flo?y=hBp20BkQI0X20fl6V";>Semiconductor Industry
    Association</a>
goes literary with its annual report.<br>
 5. Fall of the House of Users: Edgar Allan Poe's macabre tale of
    the decline of Usenet.<br>
 6. A ROM with a View: Lucy Honeychurch must choose between her
tried-and-true compact disc drive or the flashy new DVD-ROM
she encountered in Radio Shack. Brief nudity.<br>
 7. The Profit, by Kahlil Gibran: The legend of an ancient way of
    financing companies.<br>
 8. Of Mice and Menus: George and Lennie finally master Windows.<br>
 9. The Old Man and the C++ Programmer: An aged CEO goes 60 days
without landing a programmer. When he uses stock options as
bait, the programmer bites, then destroys infrastructure when
    the stock tanks.<br>
10. The Great Gatesby: 'Nuff said.<BR>
