Hi to all and thanks for the new snapshot for RH 6.2 users like me (I 
use glibc-2.1.3-22).
I've just upgraded to new snapshot from evo 0.8 and this is what I did 
to have my contacts back :

0) don't start new evo
1) cd ~/evolution/local/Contacts
2) mv addressbook.db addressbook.db.old
3) start evolution
4) click to Contacts

At this point, a new  addressbook.db is created...

5) quit evolution
6) kill all wombat processes

Make sure you are in the Contacts directory

7) db_dump185 addressbook.db.old | db_load addressbook.db
8) restart evolution and enjoy...
