Hm... possibly.

You can set up filters in Evolution, and turn on "filter new messages in
INBOX" in the configuration for that IMAP server in Evolution, although
this is still a little buggy and may cause evolution to hang after a
while...

unfotunately, i use another mail client on a windows machine at work
that does not allow IMAP filtering, which is why i use procmail, so no
matter what client i'm using, the mail is in the proper folders.

People occasionally have reported this error, but it seems to be
unrelated to Evolution. (In this case, I know that there's no code in
evolution that could be sending the string "\Recent" to the IMAP server
there, so the IMAP server must be complaining about something unrelated
to Evolution...)

hmmmm. i don't get this error with any other client i've used (Mozilla
etc..) or on my windows machine etc... there must be some sort of check
for 'recent' messages in evolution somewhere. maybe procmail locks
folders when it moves messages, so when evolution checks for recent
messages, it isn't allowed to??

just an idea.
