[Evolution] Newbie Evolution test and suggestions

Hi,

I'm almost the newbie to the Evolution (I've run evo for 15 mins in
0.10) and I tried to replace the Mozilla mailer with evo 0.11.

I used the source package from Debian Sid and build the binary package
with the support for SSL (nspr4) and NNTP.

Basically I tested mailer the most time I was using it.

Here are my suggestions:
 - I really dislike the 'local' folder, 'cos I have no local mail, only
two IMAP mail servers (via SSL); it should be really cool to have
all the calendar, addressbook and s.o. elsewhere in the tree
 - the 'vFolders' are very good thing, but if I don't use them, I'd
like to hide them in the folders tree
 - IMHO progress bars should be in the status bar and should be more
working (not just text message) - it's my experince with the
progress during the download of >>many<< mail headers from IMAP
folder
 - evo says that certificates of both my IMAP servers aren't good (not
signed by real CA), but I'd like to say I want them accept
permanently
 - NNTP support is cool, would it be in 1.0? I vote for this feature;
but the 'Trash' folder (which appeared in my evo) among the news
folders looks really bad (this trash folder has been created
specially for news tree folder)
 - the news folder aren't checked for new messages (or they are checked
in a very long period - I'm not able to set the period)
 - drag'n'drop should highlight the folder over that I am
 - I really missed the button 'get messages' (if I don't want to send
messages)
 - when I'm composing the message, the 'from' field (in my case with two
possible outgoing email addresses) should be automatically set to
that email address for the email account the current folder belongs
to
 - and add stability :-)) but it's the goal of the 1.0 release (I hope)

It's really possible that these problems are solved or there are no
problems I mentioned (or it's my problems only).

Please answer and thanks for your patience.

Sincerely,

Jan "Pogo" Mynarik
